Cattedralle Di Troia - Mapping Content Design-Italy

Projection Mapping Content Design

The Troia Cathedral
It is located in the province of Puglia. Troia is a charming musical score of symbols, an encyclopaedia of stone, where mysterious symmetries and correspondences between representations and numbers can be found. Built between 1093 and 1125 by Oderisio from Benevento, anthropomorphic and phytomorphic images symbolise Heaven and Hell. The Troia Cathedral is a Romanesque gem, a medieval treasure chest of symbols and beauty.
As part of a Christmas celebtation programme (La Magia del Natale), a video instalation covering the top fazade and emblematic Rose was conceived. In preparation for the next year 1000 years coming anniversary of Troia Cathedral, a visual installation was created; that could establish a base approach to mapping, in a very tight deadline and budget, to "Celebrate Christmas with love, light & magic”. The installation could be experienced from the 22nd of December until the 6th January 2019.
Leading TPS design team (Ross Ashton), we have developed the 3d mapping design based on projection point, models and 2-3d content design to bring to life a 4min piece.
